Welcome to the Irish Business Network (IBN) website.
Formed in 2011 to bring together the Irish business community in the emirate, the IBN is an ideal point of contact for newcomers to Dubai as well as long-term residents.
​
The IBN committee are focused on organizing business themed events throughout the year, which provide a platform for the business community to make new contacts and to network.
Chief among our events are the popular IBN Business Breakfast meetings, which are free to members and which feature keynote speakers from a variety of industries and government officials.
​
The annual September half-day seminar, which in 2020 attracted over 200 attendees and is also free to members, is one of the highlights of the year with respected speakers from Ireland and the Middle East attending.
​
The IBN also organise a series of sector meetings throughout the year, which focus on specific themes including the YBN (for members under 35), Construction, Hospitality, Travel & Tourism, Leadership, SME, Food, Digital and Masterclasses.

Chairperson
Eugene Barry is a senior executive and holds the position of EVP of Commercial at Dubai Airports.
Eugene joined Dubai Airports in 2009 and has more 15 years’ experience in airport travel retail, particularly in the Middle East previously working at Dubai Duty Free, Dufry and Aer Rianta.
Under his leadership, the commercial team spearheads Dubai Airports’ focus on the ongoing development of non-aeronautical revenue, fundamental to ensuring sustained profitability, vital to funding future development.
